May Day Gras Weekend
Our annual event in Truro will be bigger than ever this year with workshops all day Saturday, a parade and showcase of samba, Capoeira and traditional Cornish musicians and dancers on Sunday afternoon plus some surprises.
Saturday 2nd May
This year we have invited instructors from London School of Samba to teach a day of dance and percussion in Truro.
Alexander Technique, will also be available before and after the dance workshop.

Samara Reis for samba dance
Anita Bennett for Alexander Technique
Fred Turuka for samba percussion
All instructors are highly experienced and this is a great opportunity to learn from some of the best in the country.

Sunday 3rd May
Midday parade starts from Union Place outside Truro Library we expect up to 400 dancers and musicians to travel through the streets onto Lemon Quay where a showcase of talent will entertain for the afternoon. All for free.
Look out for headdress making workshops at Truro library leading up to the event.
