Samba for Carnival - Emma Skilton.

Emma started dancing samba in 2000 with Carnival Collective, Brighton .

This led to training with Romero from Mangueira School of Samba, Rio, Brazil and dancing with London School of Samba at Notting Hill Carnival 2000 and 2002 plus many other prestigious festivals in the south east. Since moving to Cornwall in 2003 this passion for samba dance has continued.

The dance and visual side of Brazils' carnival is the core inspiration for Emma's work and with her group of dancers she has accompanied the band at events all over Cornwall from Street parades to night-club events.

Emma currently offers weekly workshops in and around Truro. As well as working with Schools and other organisations for specific projects.

Monday 9.30-10.30 am (term-time only)
at The Scout Hut, Boscawen Park, Truro
Drop in £5.50 or £24.00 for 6 weeks - all levels welcome

Tuesday 7.15-9.00 pm
The scout hut Boscawan Park, Truro
£36.00 6 weeks - performance group. (all levels welcome)

Thursday 8.00-9.00 pm
at Motivation Fitness, Roberts Ope, Truro (alley by Waterstones book shop)
Drop in £5.50 or £24.00 for 6 weeks - all levels welcome
weekly fee, Advanced class by invitation.
