Welcome to Truro School of Samba
Co founded by Emma Skilton (dance director) and Sean Hooper (musical director) Truro School of Samba have been entertaining crowds throughout Cornwall since 2005.Inspired by Rio's magnificent carnival and the rhythms of Brazil the spectacular dancers are accompanied by the infectious rhythms of the band.
We regularly perform at festivals, parties and events throughout the year such as Truro Carnival, Beach Break live Festival, Capoeira Cornwall Brazilian party, Falmouth Tall Ships and City of lights parade.
In May we organise our own samba event ‘May Day Gras’ which sees us parading through the centre of Truro with a showcase of samba and Capoeira on Lemon Quay. An opportunity to shake off winter and begin the carnival season.
